When I began that journey, as with most who are new to weight training, I totally was lost. I had no clue how I was going to achieve my goal but that didn't deter me. My 1st experience in the gym to weight train was ridiculous. I had no idea how any of the machines worked except the Elliptical, and the Treadmill. My sister showed me some basic KettleBell exercises but I over did it and saw little to no results after months of "training". I knew there had to be more to it than that. So I decided to follow what some of the pro fitness competitors (like WBFF Pro Andreia Brazier, IFBB Figure Pro Jessica Putnam, and 8 time Ms. Olympia Champion Iris Kyle) by watching theirYouTube videos, and I watched their live competitions when aired on television. Unfortunately, unless you are being trained by them, watching a bunch of YouTube videos and competitions won't teach you proper guidelines specifically geared to your own body type. So began my search for answers on how to be properly trained, and pass my knowledge onto others. I completed my personal trainer certification through the National Council of Certified Personal Trainers (NCCPT) and also became a member of CanFit Pro. The NCCPT course as given me a better understanding of the health, fitness and weight loss industry. I am actively in the gym 4 days a week using the knowledge I have gained to continue my goal to become a Figure competitor; and I am now ready to share my vast knowledge onto those who seek guidance and are wanting to transform their lives.
