It kept me going because I looked forward to being with the group. The trainers really do care about their clients as people, not just as nameless bodies in a gym. Chris, Leslye, Dawn, and other trainers listen and care about people and it shows in the atmosphere in the gym and the smiles on the people who are there. They helped me not only get stronger, actually REDUCING the osteopenia my next bone density test, they also helped me learn to eat better, cleaner, and smarter. I don’t starve myself and, as a result of this education and real encouragement and support, I’ve revved up my metabolism. Thanks, also, to a couple of enjoyable weight-loss challenges, I have now lost those ten pounds, plus a few extra! Not only that, but I’ve taken an inch and a half off each thigh, and inch and a quarter off my hips, and a full two inches off my waist in a year and a half. Best of all, I know how to keep it all off! Later this fall, I will go back to my doctor for a cholesterol check. I fully expect it to be lower. If not, at least I know that I am living a healthier lifestyle and have done and continue to do all I can to counter my genetic make-up. I’m set to go through my fifties and sixties and face the challenges of middle age armed with the knowledge and habits that will make these years as fit, healthy, and enjoyable as possible! In many ways, I feel like I am in my prime and I owe so much of that to my friends and “gym family” at Personally Fit! Thanks, guys!
